The app-marketing-context skill creates or updates a foundational app marketing context document that all other ASO and app marketing skills reference. It is the starting point for any ASO or app marketing project, capturing the app's positioning and goals in one place.
It checks whether an app-marketing-context.md already exists (offering to update it) or walks through building it section by section: app overview (name, IDs, category, platform, and price model), value proposition (problem, target audience, differentiator, and elevator pitch), competitive landscape, current ASO state (title, subtitle, keywords, and rating), goals and KPIs with targets and timelines, resources and constraints, and target markets and languages. It saves the document to the project root and summarizes strengths to leverage, gaps to address, and recommended next skills.
It is most useful as the first step before running other ASO skills (audits, keyword research, competitor analysis), giving them shared context about the app and its goals.
