About ljg-card

The ljg-card skill is designed to transform textual or web-based content into visually compelling PNG graphics. It addresses the need for converting abstract ideas, documents, or research into visually digestible formats, making content easier to share, present, or archive. By providing multiple visual molds, it allows users to convey information through long-form cards, infographics, comics, editorial sketchnotes, whiteboards, or large-font attachment-style visuals, all while preserving the clarity and impact of the original content. This solves common challenges in content presentation, such as engagement, readability, and adaptation to different visual contexts.

FAQ

How do I use ljg-card to create a visual from my text?

You can provide content via a URL, pasted text, or a local file path. Then invoke ljg-card with the desired mold parameter (e.g., -l for long reading card, -i for infograph). The skill reads the content, applies the selected template, and outputs a PNG file to ~/Downloads/.

Which templates or molds are available and what sizes do they produce?

The skill provides seven molds: -l (long reading card, 1080 x auto), -i (infograph, 1080 x auto), -m (multi-card, 1080 x 1440), -v (editorial sketchnote, 1080 x auto), -c (comic, 1080 x auto), -w (whiteboard, 1080 x auto), and -b (big-font attachment card, 1080 x 1440). Each mold has a specific layout and design style for different content types.

Can I use ljg-card with Org-mode or ASCII-only content?

No. ljg-card outputs visual PNG files and does not support Org-mode, Denote, or ASCII-only formats.

Does ljg-card require any external tools to generate PNGs?

Yes. It uses Node.js with Playwright for capturing visuals. You need to run 'npm install playwright && npx playwright install chromium' in the skill root directory if Playwright is not installed.

How is content attribution handled in the generated visuals?

For most molds (-l, -i, -v, -c, -w), the footer displays a logo and author (李继刚) on the left and optionally a source line on the right using the '{{SOURCE_LINE}}' variable. Multi-card (-m) visuals do not include a footer.
