De-slop pass for any text: detects and erases the statistical fingerprints of AI writing (negative parallelism / "not X but Y", em-dash abuse, rule-of-three, false ranges, puffery vocabulary, uniform cadence, hedged both-sidesing) and rewrites the text into its target register — academic article, tweet, reddit post, email, blog, anything between. About fuck-slop

This skill is a de-slopping pass for any text: it detects and removes the statistical fingerprints of AI-generated writing and rewrites the text into its intended register. It targets the tells that emerge from how language models generate prose, above all negative parallelism (the "not X but Y" family), plus em-dash abuse, rule-of-three constructions, false ranges, puffery vocabulary, uniform sentence cadence, and hedged both-sidesing. The premise is that these patterns are invisible on self-review, so detection must be mechanical (regex against a fixed catalog) rather than intuitive.

It runs a loop: fix the target (genre, venue, audience, stance, constraints), perform a mechanical scan using runnable grep patterns from a tell catalog plus structural checks for cadence and formatting, report findings as a short diagnosis table, then rewrite by meaning rather than by paraphrasing the pattern. A three-way triage handles negative parallelism (delete strawman negations, earn genuine contrasts with specifics, or cut empty sentences entirely), and banned escape hatches prevent reintroducing the same move in disguise. Rewrites are re-scanned until clean, followed by a register check. A voices reference defines what good writing means per genre (academic paper, tweet, Reddit, LinkedIn, email, blog, marketing, docs, cover letters) and which tells are fatal in each; a tells reference holds the detection catalog.

It targets writers, editors, and anyone publishing agent-drafted prose who wants text that reads like a specific person wrote it. It runs read-only text-analysis operations (grep against a draft file) with no risky behavior.

FAQ

How do I invoke this skill?

Ask to "fuck slop", "deslop" or "de-slop this", "remove the AI tells", "humanize this", or "make this not sound like AI", or invoke /fuck-slop. It is also meant to run before publishing any agent-drafted prose.

How does it detect AI writing?

Mechanically. It runs a fixed catalog of grep -Ein regex patterns against the text (or applies them by hand when the text is only in conversation), plus structural checks for uniform cadence and AI-style formatting, rather than relying on subjective judgment.

What is its most important rewriting rule?

Never fix a pattern by paraphrasing the pattern. Each finding is rewritten by deciding what the sentence actually asserts and asserting that, then the text is re-scanned so disguised versions of the same move are caught as new findings.

Does it adapt to different kinds of writing?

Yes. A register guide defines what good means and which tells are fatal per genre, covering academic papers, tweets, Reddit posts, LinkedIn, email, blogs, marketing copy, technical docs, and cover letters or statements.

Will it invent personal details to sound human?

No. It treats concrete personal detail as the strongest human marker but insists you never fabricate it; if such detail is missing you ask the author or drop it, and it prefers keeping the author's own surviving words.
