About platform-agentsetup-categories-fetch
platform-agentsetup-categories-fetch fetches Agentic Setup prompt categories from a connected Salesforce org through the Connect API. It calls GET /services/data/{apiVersion}/agenticsetup/categories via the Salesforce CLI and returns the list of prompt categories, optionally including their nested prompts when fetchPrompts=true is supplied.
The skill is deliberately read-only and narrow in scope: it verifies org connectivity with sf org display, issues the categories request with sf api request rest, parses the JSON response into a clear list of category names, labels, and prompts, and maps common errors (feature-not-enabled 403s, expired sessions, not-found) to actionable guidance. It intentionally excludes creating or modifying categories, org authentication setup, and OpenAPI generation, delegating those to other flows.
It targets Salesforce developers and admins working with Agentforce / setup copilot prompt libraries who need to inspect available prompt categories on an already-authenticated org, using the CLI rather than raw HTTP so that session tokens are handled correctly.
FAQ
What endpoint does it call?
GET /services/data/{apiVersion}/agenticsetup/categories on a connected Salesforce org, optionally with the fetchPrompts query parameter to include nested prompts.
Can it create or edit prompt categories?
No. The skill is read-only by design; creating or modifying categories is out of scope, as is org authentication setup and OpenAPI generation.
What are the prerequisites?
An org already authenticated with sf org login and the Salesforce CLI available. It uses sf api request rest rather than curl so that ~/.sfdx session tokens are applied automatically.
What happens if the feature isn't enabled?
A FUNCTIONALITY_NOT_ENABLED / 403 error is surfaced with a hint to enable the Agentic Setup Categories feature under Setup > Einstein/Agentforce.
