asc-metrics

When the user wants to analyze their own app's actual performance data from App Store Connect — real downloads, revenue, IAP, subscriptions, trials, or country breakdowns synced via Appeeky Connect. Use when the user asks about "my downloads", "my revenue", "how is my app performing", "ASC data", "sales and trends", "my subscription numbers", "App Store Connect metrics", or wants to compare periods or top markets. For third-party app estimates, see app-analytics. For subscription analytics depth

About asc-metrics

ASC Metrics helps a user analyze their own app's official App Store Connect performance data, exact downloads, revenue, in-app purchases, subscriptions, trials, and country breakdowns, synced into the Appeeky platform via its Connect integration. It solves the problem of turning first-party ASC data (not third-party estimates) into actionable insight, comparing periods, spotting anomalies, and identifying monetization and localization opportunities.

The skill first checks for an app marketing context file and asks what to analyze, over which period, and for which app. It then fetches data through read-only Appeeky Connect API endpoints (list apps, portfolio overview, and per-app detail returning daily series, country breakdowns, and totals). It layers several analysis frameworks on top: period-over-period comparison tables with interpretation heuristics (for example downloads rising while revenue stays flat signals a pricing or paywall issue), daily trend analysis for spikes and drops, country breakdowns to prioritize ASO and localization, and a revenue-quality check computing ARPD, trial rate, subscription conversion, and revenue per subscriber against benchmarks. It produces a formatted performance snapshot, trend alerts when a metric moves more than 20 percent, and specific recommended actions, and it cross-references sibling skills for keyword research, monetization, retention, and localization.

It targets indie developers, app marketers, and ASO practitioners who have connected App Store Connect to Appeeky and want to understand and improve their own app's performance. It requires an Appeeky account on the Indie plan or higher (each request costs credits), with data synced nightly and up to 90 days of history.

FAQ

What are the prerequisites?

An Appeeky account with App Store Connect connected via Settings, on the Indie plan or higher (2 credits per request). Data syncs nightly with up to 90 days of history available.

Is this real data or estimates?

It analyzes official first-party App Store Connect data (exact downloads, revenue, IAP, subscriptions, trials) synced into Appeeky, not third-party estimates. For competitor estimates the skill points to a separate app-analytics skill.

What can it analyze?

Downloads, revenue, subscriptions, trials, and IAP over a chosen period, with period-over-period comparisons, daily trend spikes and drops, country breakdowns, and a revenue-quality check (ARPD, trial rate, conversion, revenue per sub).

How does it access the data?

Through read-only Appeeky Connect API GET endpoints that list apps and return portfolio and per-app metrics; it does not modify any App Store Connect data.

What if App Store Connect is not connected?

The skill prompts the user to connect it in Appeeky settings first and then return, since it cannot analyze data that has not been synced.
